What Is Coaching?
"Do not let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do." -John WoodenIn a new and rapidly growing profession, coaching addresses specific projects and goals by examining what is going on right now, discovering what your obstacles or challenges might be, and choosing a course of action to make your productivity what you want it to be.
Coaching For Industry was developed based on the ever increasing needs of companies competing in today's constantly changing world markets.
The pressure to continually increase productivity, efficiencies, and profit margins take a huge toll on a company's most important assets: its people. Capital expenditures in technology and tools can add a certain amount to the bottom line, but investment in our people will have an effect that will last for years.
Why use a coach?
Coaching is partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.
Coaches are trained to listen, to observe, and to customize their approach to individual client needs. They seek to elicit solutions and strategies from the client. The coach's job is to provide support to enhance the skills, resources, and creativity that the client already has.
The addition of a coach to walk with the people who are the company, can create the synergy needed to allow the company to set new goals or clarify existing ones. The model used by Russell will involve the CEO, COO, sales management and the manufacturing and operating team to create a truly world class operation.
Coaching should be used when:
- You need to accelerate growth of people in critical assignments, or there is a significant increase in the complexity of someone's work.
- Risks are high and you can't afford to fail.
- An executive's time is precious and every minute counts.

How does it work?
Coaching can be done through telephone conferences for individuals or groups, set up on site for your convenience, or through online meetings and conversations. These meetings are usually three times a month for 45 minutes to one hour each.
Programs are customized for each client. The coach helps clients clarify values and match future goals to those established values. He will also help clients learn new skills and tools for building or growing your business, career, relationships, and life.
One of the keys to coaching is the encouragement and request of pro-active behavior by the client. The client is empowered to set his/her own agenda for the outcome of coaching meetings. The coach will also refer out for special needs requests such as therapy, medical, accounting, and legal needs.
- Synergy causes better results, much more easily - Coaching is synergistic through its collaborate nature between coach and client.
- Any situation can be optimized, turned around or improved - And with a coach it can happen much more quickly.
- We humans operate at 1%, or less, of our potential - Coaching increases this percentage.
- Success is a basic human right - Success has nothing to do with deservedness, privilege, or background.
- When the client properly defines success for him/herself, coaching accelerates - This knowledge naturally positions the client to be more successful with less effort.
- Most people don't know what they truly want - A coach can help clients discover what they truly want. It's a fairly simple process.
